About

My name is Cale, and yeah that's pronounced like the vegetable but spelled with a C. Also I hate Kale. I'm a visual designer at Zillow/Trulia. While being a visual designer is my main gig, I would also consider myself a systems designer and a UX designer. I have a passion for communicating through design which I combine with a special knack for addressing complex user needs with the right visual tone.

I previously worked with Cooper for four years before they were acquired by Designit, where I continued to work for another year. Prior to joining Cooper, I earned my BS in Visual Communications Design at Ohio State in before working at Grip Design in Chicago. My interest in applying the tools of illustration and design to serve businesses brought me to Cooper, where I worked with a variety of companies including Google, Verizon, Visa, Planned Parenthood, SAP, Splunk, CA Technologies, Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, Lund University, and Kurbo Health.

When I'm not busy doing that stuff, I'm probably illustrating, watching superhero movies, or just pretending to be a dinosaur.
